Surface JIT access, checkout, and break glass requests via Slack

Why set up the Slack integration

If your company uses Slack, taking this small, optional step can reduce your approval time for things like access requests, checkout requests, and break glass requests from hours to minutes while also providing a full audit trail.

How to do it

In your platform or Secret Server Settings, find the Slack integration and configure it to meet your team’s needs -- approver groups, rich notifications, one-click approve/deny actions. Then, ensure all admins who need access add the Secret Server Bot and sign into it.

Alternatively, you can set up a shared Slack channel for requests and event notifications.

Important to note if you’re upgrading or migrating to the Delinea Platform

The Secret Server–Slack integration explicitly supports Secret Server Cloud and Secret Server On-Premises, providing a consistent and seamless experience across deployment environments, and upgrading to the Delinea Platform requires no additional setup — as long as you used the same Secret Server URL when upgrading, your existing Slack integration will continue to function properly.
