What products will my team be engaging with to protect credentials?
Securing credentials through vaulting is one of Delinea’s most common use cases. And, not to brag but… we’re the best at it ;)
Depending on the persona you are aiming to secure, we’ve developed three ways to support customers with security credentials.
- Secret Server, the vault for your IT admins and machine identities -- Your team may be using an on-premises version of Secret Server or vaulting in Delinea’s platform.
- DevOps Secrets Vault, the vault for developers
- Credential Manager, password management for your workforce.
What is a good early outcome to aim for as we onboard?
If your intent is to secure privileged or workforce credentials, we typically recommend vaulting test accounts and testing how you will manage those credentials through password rotation, secret check in/check out, and robust folder structure. Once you’ve tested to satisfaction, you’ll be able to start achieving value by managing real accounts and truly securing credentials.
