Community Guidelines for Success
As you engage in the Secret Society, please keep these simple rules in mind:
- Use Your Best Judgment: When posting or interacting, always think before you share.
- Be Respectful: Treat all members with courtesy. We’re here to learn and grow together.
- Be Helpful: Share your knowledge and experiences to help others succeed.
- Protect Sensitive Information: Never share internal or sensitive information from your organization.
- Stay Professional: Maintain a professional tone in all interactions.
- Technical Issues: For complex or member-specific product issues, please contact Delinea Support directly.

Get Started in 4 Steps
1. Update Your Profile
Click your username initial in the upper right corner, select My Profile, then Edit Profile. Adding details like an avatar, your role, company, city, advocacy interests, or something fun about yourself helps others connect with you and humanizes our digital space.
2. Update Your Settings
Click your profile icon and choose Settings. Under General, control how others see your accolades (badges, ranks, activities). Under Notifications, manage email alerts for community activities and reset your password.
Note: To delete your account, contact secret.society@delinea.com.
3. Navigate the Site
The community has four main sections, accessible from the top menu:
- Discussions: Ask questions, share advice, and keep up with Delinea news. Like, comment, and mark helpful answers.
- Resources: Find articles and videos to help you use Delinea products and improve your security posture. Use the smiley faces to rate content.
- Product Updates: Stay informed about upcoming changes, beta tests, and roadmap news.
- Events: Discover in-person and online events, including Secret Socials and other compelling gatherings.
4. Engage with the Community
Participate in ways that suit you:
- Like posts with the 👍 icon.
- Comment using the Reply field.
- Create new questions or topics with + Write a Post.
- Read and enjoy (lurking is welcome!).
- Private message fellow users or the Community Team (see below).
Every type of engagement earns you points, ranks, and badges over time.
Using Private Messaging
While public posts are encouraged for general questions and advice, you can also direct message other members if they allow DMs in their settings. You’re always welcome to message the Delinea Community Team with questions or concerns.
To send a message:
Hover over a user’s avatar. If they allow DMs, you’ll see an envelope icon—click it to open a private message window.
Receiving messages:
By default, you’ll get an email notification for new private messages. Access messages via the email link or by clicking your profile avatar and selecting Private Messages.
Adjusting your private message settings:
In your profile Settings, you can disallow private messages or restrict them to members you follow. To turn off email notifications for private messages, go to Settings > Notifications and toggle Private Messages to Off.
