If you are a Delinea customer that also has Microsoft Entra Permissions Management (MEPM), please read on …

What’s changing with MEPM?

You might have already been informed that Microsoft has announced that it is retiring Microsoft Entra Permissions Management (MEPM), and they are taking it end of support on October 1, 2025. Additionally, new purchases of MEPM will be unavailable starting April 1, 2025.

To help their customers transition away from MEPM, Microsoft has partnered with Delinea as a Preferred Partner, as Delinea offers functionality comparable to that currently delivered with MEPM. @Brigid_Colver and I wanted to make sure customers in Secret Society were aware of this shift - and aware that Delinea can help support you through this transition.

Delinea can help fill the gap

Delinea offers a cloud-native, fully Microsoft-compatible Cloud Infrastructure Entitlement Management (CIEM) solution on the Delinea Platform: This solution can support Microsoft customers and ensure continuity of services and can help support compliance maintenance. Delinea’s CIEM solution, Delinea Privilege Control for Cloud Entitlements (PCCE), supports a comparable feature set to MEPM, and is designed to enhance security across multi-cloud environments by enforcing least privilege access.

A bit about Privilege Control for Cloud Entitlements

PCCE is designed to enhance security across multi-cloud environments by enforcing least privilege access. It provides continuous discovery of entitlements, enabling organizations to monitor and adjust access rights for both human and machine identities across Azure, AWS, and GCP public clouds. PCCE helps mitigate risks by identifying and removing excessive privileges and misconfigurations in cloud service provider environments, and it leverages AI and ML-driven analytics to provide insights into identity usage, helping support compliance with security standards.
